Frequently Asked Questions:

What is OSHC?

OSHC stands for Outside School Hours Care. We look after children aged from 4 to 12 years old, before and after their school day and during school holiday periods. Most services are based on a school site and collect and drop off children to their class or other local schools.

Can I work around my studies?

OSHC can be a great job if you are studying and working at the same time. Many services are looking for casual workers who can do flexible hours and with services opening outside of school hours it can leave the day free for your studies!

It most certainly is! Although you do not need a qualification to work in our industry, there are many different training paths available to educators. These enable you to step up into OSHC leader and management positions and even on to being a regional manager of group of services.
